If you’re considering getting an all-terrain electric bike, you’re probably looking for one with big tires. Only fat tire bikes perform brilliantly in snow, in the rain, off-road on mud or sand, and, of course, on city streets and sidewalks. So let us introduce to you the Asomtom E300, a step-thru e-MTB. Do you think it’s going to be a good electric mountain bike option? Well, of course, it will, its larger tires add more stability, and even beginners can have power and control while riding.

- Motor: 750W BAFANG Motor
- Brake: Dual Hydraulic Disc Brakes
- Pedal Assistance: 1-5 level
- Top Speed: 29MPH Top Speed

The frame of this e-bike is made out of robust aerospace grade 6061 aluminum alloy with a maximum load capacity of 400 pounds. Each joint of its frame looks super smooth, and its overall outlook reflects classiness. It features an alloy suspension fork, which can be locked with just a press of this button. Locking the front fork makes it more energy efficient on some trails by eliminating unnecessary bobbing.
Comfort and Safety
Speaking of challenging trails, its hydraulic suspension alloy forks can travel up to 120-millimeter for a smooth and comfortable ride regardless of those bumps. But when we rode it on paved roads, locking it got us better pedal efficiency. The closed-type buckle makes these wheels almost impossible to disengage. Moreover, its oversized suspension cruiser padded saddle successfully satisfied us during those bumpiest rides. What anyone will love more is its step-thru design that eliminates all the struggles while mounting. Moreover, its half-twist throttle with a power-off button protects against accidental activation and harm to you.
Tires and Brakes
Then comes these 26-inch x 4-inch fat anti-skid tires, which weren’t only suitable for those challenging muddy mountain trails, but also gave an unmatched grip and traction on snowy and sandy terrains. The 4.0 fat tire electric vehicle frame uses a heavy-duty structure that can support 400LBS, ensuring this bike’s reliability.
It also features hydraulic disc brakes, this bike provides superior braking power regardless of muddy mountain trails or sandy beaches. Utilizing a front suspension that is 120mm lockable and adjustable, you can effectively lessen the impact of potholes. Hydraulic brakes combined with 4.0 fat tires offer a smoother riding experience, can brake rapidly on wet days and during intense off-roading, and can prevent injuries and rollovers.
Battery Back Up
Well, according to Asomtom, its 48-volt, 15-amp-hour removable lithium-ion battery can cover 35 to 45 miles in pure electric mode. This wasn’t too different according to our test results, as a single charge gave us up to 48.7-miles of cruising range. But, when we switched to pedal-assist mode, it provided around 50 to 60 miles according to its five different levels. This all-terrain electric mountain bike included a US standard 2-ampere smart charger, which took about 5 hours to charge this chunky battery fully.
The Asomtom E300 Electric Mountain Bike comes with 4 riding modes giving you maximum control and comfort while riding the bike. The first mode is pure electric which boasts a maximum speed of 28+mph. Then there is pedal electric assists mode, and its speed ranges from 40 to 60+ miles. With pedal, you can go up to a max of 28 mph, and push mode offers a maximum speed of 35+ miles.
Performance-wise, this electric all-terrain bike provided a faster starting speed and acceleration than we expected. And when we looked into it, we found out its well-capable LISHUI controller was behind this incredible headstart, with a 48-volt 25-amperes of energy. Not to mention, its 750-watt brushless Bafang motor also collaborates with a tremendous 1000-watts of peak power, generating 85-newton-meter of torque.
Speed and Display
So although Asomtom claims it to be as fast as 28 miles per hour, we did manage to exceed that limit pretty easily with pedal assist. In addition, Shimano’s 7-speed derailleur was more efficient for a smooth gear switch during those uphill rides. We also found its LED backlight display bright enough to read comfortably under harsh sunlight, while its precise information kept us updated about our rides.
With such an outlook, sheer power, ruggedness, and efficiency packed into one MTB, Asomtom E300 offers just the right amount of everything. And even at night, you would have a safer and more enjoyable ride with this e-bike thanks to its super bright LED headlight. Hence, that brings us to the end of the review of this Asomtom E300: A Step-Thru Electric Mountain Bike for All Terrains.
